Marriage Alters Your Tastebuds

This poem really brings a smile on my face. If you notice the copyright date, it was written over two years ago. A friend of mine was looking for poetry, stories and recipes for a cookbook she was writing, and so I wrote the poem below. It’s true though, marriage does alter your taste buds!

Marriage Alters Your Taste Buds!

Marriage alters your taste buds
So does childbirth too
Please don’t look at me that way
What I say is true.

Marriage alters your taste buds
I soon found out one day
Just a handful of broccoli
Then back and forth I swayed.

Marriage alters your taste buds
And don’t think I complain
With so much choice available
New recipes are a pain!
