Baghtatan
Archived under Personal Ramblings .
Assalaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaah.
When I first heard about the stampede which took place in Makkah, I was in complete and utter shock. I automatically begun to think about the people I know who had set off for the hajj - that once in a lifetime journey we all yearn to make.
I also thought about those who had had their souls taken away during/ after the event. They were most probably not expecting it. Like all of us, they must have had plans for the rest of the year, yet it was Allaah's Decree that Makkah would be the place and the stampede would be the event. SubhaanAllaah.
It seems that many occurances which Allaah has Willed to happen have been vivid reminders that death comes 'baghtatan' - suddenly.
This wasn't intended to be another rambling about death, just something to think about. Here's a poem that I liked: It will come to pass.
Was-salaamu 'alaikum
