No Turning Leaves
Archived under My Poetry .
Bismillaah.
Just a little poem - reflecting the coming of spring and our array of sisters who are 'springing' into the deen, mashaa`Allaah. If you don't know the popular namebrands mentioned in the poem, you may not 'get it'.

No Turning Leaves
Walking out of the door
For the last time
A gleam in her eyes
Heels chinking a chime
She'll be dropping Chanel
Burberry's out of the door
Who needs Vuitton?
No need for Dior
There'll be no turning leaves
Not necessarily so
Just trimming some stems
Allowing new ones to grow
There's always an end
This is just her beginning
A fresh, fragrant Muslimah
"Alhamdulillaah," she's singing.

Assalaamu Alaykum,
Nice work masha Allah. It's so relevant! Something that most Muslimah's esp in the West will have experienced.
