Peaceful Serenity

May 5, 2008 : 28 Rabi-uth-Thaani 1429 H

Archived under My Poetry .

Feet
Slightly parted
Clammy hands placed
One above the other

Head lowered
Ashamed
Hoping
For humility

A steady bow
Where a cup
Could easily be placed

A slow rising
Wishing
For all sins
To be spilled away

To the ground
Nose and lip in contact
And head
Feet
Palms, knees
Bearing witness
To His Magnitude

A breezy whimper
For forgiveness
And salvation
Shuddering shoulders
Hope while pleading
To be saved from hell

Tashahhud
Says it all
It's all for Him
From Him
The peace... such peace
Serenity
Only found
In prayer

Assalamualaikum UJ.

Thanks for this lovely rendition. You don't know this, but like four years ago when I was having issues with my iman, your site helped me tremendously. I remember sometimes I would be in tears begging Allah to help me enjoy the sweetness of faith. I kept questioning why it was easier for some people while I struggled with it. I guess it's a struggle for everyone and Allah tests us in different ways. Bottom line, I wanted to be like you. To have conviction, to be strong and confident.

Anywho... before I start rambling, just wanted to let you know that you're an inspiration. Mashallah!

Ahhh, subhaanAllah. How beautiful you've captured it; the hope for forgiveness, trying to attain humility, and the peace and tranquility that descends.

Allahumma antas salam, wa minkas salaam, tabarakta ya dhal jalaali wal ikram.

BarakAllahu feeki ya Umm Junayd.

Wa Salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatu
