Crippled Yet Free

Crippled
Legs confined to a metal frame

Free
Mental soul swimming in a sea of knowledge

Heavenly pursuits fuel her
Position in Al-Firdaws move her
She sits, unable to stand
"I've got it good," she chimes.

Pity
An emotion unsought for

Du'aa
Simple request asked for

Heavenly pursuits remain her companion
In the Sight of Allaah to be champion
She sits, unable to stand
"I've got it good," she chimes.

Blessings
Appreciated not overlooked

Life
A gift often overlooked

Heavenly pursuits keep flames burning
Uncovered rocks she keeps turning
She sits, unable to stand
"I've got it good," she chimes.
