Discipline!

Firstly, I'd like to thank all my sisters who replied to the previous entry. Mashaa`Allaah, the way Islaam draws us all together is amazing - jazaakunn Allaahu khairaa!

So, let's see what I've learnt from the advise I've been given:

DISCIPLINE! -> This is something that I have to nurture and work on; I need to be disciplined if I wish to succeed, inshaa`Allaah, as a writer.

... and also...

Don't:
- begin writing something new until you've completed all unfinished writings [I see the truth in this - you end up with too many unfinished projects]
- edit writings until you've finished writing the first draft [ah! Another weakness of mine]
- expect something to be perfect first time - perfect is in the eye of the reader [uh-huh]

Do:
- set aside time to write everyday [hmmm - easier said than done - but discipline!]
- give yourself a timetable/ deadline for projects and stick to it [oh dear - but discipline!]
