Islamacising Trash
This is an excerpt of a short story I wrote recently. Alhamdulillaah, the critique was good - my writing is definitely improving mashaa`Allaah.
Khadeejah walked into the kitchen sluggishly, not quite awake due to a late night. She sighed and rubbed her forehead, caressing her throbbing temples as she leant against the bare wall.
Here we go again, she thought as she collected empty tins of baked beans from the trash can.
gHow hard is it to rinse?h she said, just above a whisper.
gNo one says itfs hard,h her husband answered as he trudged in behind her, obviously startling his agitated wife, gbut I say that itfs a waste of time.h
Khadeejah rolled her eyes, dreading the prospect of entering into another heated discussion about the whole matter, but it agitated her that she couldnft get her husband to reason with her.
gBut, Ahmad,h she began, gdonft you realise how important it is?h she said as she shifted her position against the wall.

It does look very interesting.
This is very good. Where do you publish your short stories sister?

This is actually the only short story I've written. The Please, Mend My Heart story is a whole book... and I'm currently working on a teens' novel (pray for me!).
I guess, short stories are harder to get published, and you usually need a whole load of them to publish as a collection.
Any suggestions?

Ohh, I see.
Well, I'm not familiar with publishing actually, but if you do ever get published, keep us informed.
But here's something you might want to check out:
