Voices for Africa

While I may not have be doing much writing, members of the Islamic Writers Alliance have been and the founder of Muslim Writers Publishing, sister Linda (Widad) D. Delgado has outdone herself once more by heading the production of the beautiful Voice for Africa booklet.

Voices for Africa is an ebooklet of poems dedicated to the many people we would rather not think of; the starving, the dying, the uneducated and the abandoned. It is dedicated to the thousands of people of Africa - men, women and children; the young and the old - those whose cries of dispair often go unheard.

Voices for Africa is a reminder of our obligations to not only those suffering in Africa, but all those who are going through similar plights. This is not a nationalistic cause, it is a cause to highlight great injustices and as Muslims, we are to speak out against munkar (evil) everywhere, no matter who it is happening to.

So here's for Africa, the Voices for Africa.
