is to lie to oneself
and conceal
the sadness that ensue from one’s heart.

But the reign
of success
will ultimately reign,
so refrain from uttering words of distress.

Kick your heels from the dust
and look to the marks you’ve made
Your cries don’t fall on the deaf
He Hears you

Wallowing in sorrow does no good
Swim through the tears to new lands
Your cries don’t fall on the deaf

Cracked lines on the mirror say nothing
Mistakes are there to be learned
Your cries don’t fall on the deaf
He Hears you
He Hears

Unlock the doors and let yourself in
Isolated companionship is destructive
Your Lord is certainly not deaf
He Hears you

The enemy hasn’t the horned head
But it’s the negativity that you hold
Your Lord is certainly not deaf
